Rich Morales
Baseball Instructor
Rich’s baseball career has spanned across various levels of the sport, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication. He spent four years playing college baseball at the University of San Francisco before advancing to the professional ranks with the Seattle Mariners for two seasons. Following his time in the major leagues, Rich transitioned into coaching, serving as a coach at Western Michigan University for three years. His professional coaching journey continued with 12 years of experience with teams such as the Montreal Expos, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, and Toronto Blue Jays. In addition, Rich has accumulated 17 years as an MLB scout, further enriching his expertise. The Cages are excited to welcome Rich back, where he will be offering private lessons to aspiring young athletes!
Stephen Espinoza
Baseball Instructor
Stephen Espinoza attended San Jose State University out of high school where he developed both his offensive and defensive skills. After spending two years with the Spartans, he transferred to play at Allan Hancock JC in Santa Maria California where he was able to exhibit these skills. Espinoza hit .370 on the season with 3 home runs, and a new single season school record of 48 RBIs. At the end of the season, he received a variety of awards being named first team all league, MVP, and received a Gold Glove as a shortstop. He was presented by the school an award referred to as the ”Game changer” award. Towards the end of the season, Stephen committed to play D1 baseball at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina. However, due to coaching changes, he switched courses and is now playing baseball here on the west coast for San Francisco State University. He is excited to be home in California and preparing for the upcoming season.
Jared Milch
Baseball Instructor
Jared's journey began at Terra Nova High School in 2014, where his exceptional talents shone brightly. As a standout graduate, he transitioned to CSM College, where his pitching prowess led him to hold the lowest ERA in California for several weeks. Continuing his trajectory of success, Jared earned a coveted scholarship to play Division 1 baseball at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. There, he dominated as the Friday Night ace, showcasing his remarkable skills on the mound. Despite facing an injury setback in the Frontier League, a prestigious MLB partner league, Jared's passion for the game remains unwavering. Now, he returns to Terra Nova as the head varsity baseball coach, and as an instructor at the Cages imparting his expertise in hitting, pitching, and defensive strategies to the next generation of players.
Mikayla Verni
Softball Instructor
Mikayla emerged as a force to be reckoned with during her illustrious high school career at Christopher High School, where she held the esteemed position of a four-year varsity starter. Her exceptional talents on the field were duly recognized with consecutive accolades as a second-team all-league honoree for two consecutive years. Transitioning seamlessly to the collegiate level, Mikayla now proudly dons the jerseys of the College of San Mateo, showcasing her versatility as both a catcher and first baseman. Furthermore, Mikayla also coaches the PGSL Girls 12u team, imparting her knowledge and passion for the game. Eager to extend her expertise further, Mikayla enthusiastically offers personalized lessons in hitting and catching to aspiring athletes.
Gianna Tassio

Gianna's journey at Terra Nova High School culminated in her graduation in 2023, having made an indelible impact as a four-year varsity starter. Her exceptional talent and dedication were duly recognized with back-to-back first-team all-league honors, followed by prestigious acknowledgments as Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year. Adding to her impressive list of accolades, Gianna was bestowed with the esteemed title of Terra Nova's Female Athlete of the Year during her senior year. Now gracing the fields of the College of San Mateo, Gianna showcases her versatility as both a pitcher and utility player. Eager to share her expertise and passion for the game, she embarks on a new endeavor, offering specialized pitching lessons to aspiring athletes.
